Join our vibrant team at MacKillop Family Services as a Family Connect and Support (FCS) Brighter Beginnings Worker (FCS), contributing to providing high quality intake, referral, outreach and case coordination services to vulnerable children, young people and their families in the community.
About the role:
The FCS works collaboratively with services to provide integrated service response that supports families to resolve issues, promotes child wellbeing, prevents escalation to crisis, and fosters the development of supportive, protective and nurturing environments for children and young people.
The FCS provides a regional intake and referral service and a catchment-wide telephone service from shop-fronts in Batemans Bay, Bega, Queanbeyan and Goulburn, with outreach to specified areas within the catchment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that vulnerable children, young people, and families have access to services that are tailored to their specific needs.
2. Utilise a child-centered and family-oriented approach to assess strengths, needs, risks, and protective factors.
3. Develop partnerships with mainstream services to enhance outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
4. Collaborate with Statutory Bodies and support services in the region to strengthen connections and create unified service strategies.
Key Selection Criteria:
To succeed, bring your previous experience in case coordination, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and organisational values. Willingness to provide services across the Southern NSW catchment areas and travel to FCS shop-fronts and outreach circuits.

Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in social work, early childhood, community development or relevant field.
* Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
* Valid and current NSW Working with Children Check;
* Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check.
