The Hervey Bay RSL is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast. The Club is the premier entertainment venue in the region experiencing growth in Hervey Bay.
The Club's facilities include:- 280 gaming machines, 4 bars, TAB and Keno, billiards and pool tables, child care centre, bottleshop, 3 functions rooms, 180 seat restaurant, 160 seat deck and 100 seat cafe.
The Kids Fun Centre is a children's activity centre which allows parents time to themselves, knowing their children are in the safe hands of fully trained staff. Designed for children 3-17 years, the Kids Fun Centre has TV / Videos / DVD, PlayStations, IPads, colouring in books, chalk boards, toys and games. The Kids Fun Centre is classified as adjunct care which allows a child a maximum stay of 3 hours whilst their parent / guardian remain on club premises.

About the Role ...
We are looking for qualified Child Care Attendant who has a bright, outgoing personality and exceptional customer service skills to assist with the 'Kids Fun Centre'
Reporting to the floor managers, your key responsibilities will include:
* Signing “in” and “out” of children, ensuring their parents collect them no later than the maximum 3-hour duration.
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for the children utilising the Club's childcare facilities
* Organise and program of child safe and appropriate activities.
* Maintaining accurate records on all children using the Club's childcare facilities
* Ensure all games and other resources are maintained in good working order.
* Always ensure the hygiene and cleanliness of the Club’s childcare facilities.
* Supervision of children in the care of the Club's childcare facilities.
* Monitor and control the behaviour and standards of children and parents using childcare facilities.
* Enforce Club policy and legislative requirements for all parents and children utilising the Club's childcare facilities.
* Ensure security of children when using toilet.
This role has casual hours, with a weekly roster. With the Child Care room only open when the restaurant is open, most of the shifts are split shifts. Must be available days, nights, weekends, public holidays, school holidays and split shifts.
About you …
As someone with previous experience in the child care industry, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will have a willingness to build long-term relationships with our members, guests and their children and will have impeccable grooming, presentation and communication skills.
To be considered for this role, you MUST have relevant experience, skills and knowledge of the hospitality industry and required certificates.
Essential skills & competencies:
* Be a strong team member, willing to adapt to change and follow directions
* Exceptional Customer service skills
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a range of different people
* Team worker, pleasant vibrant personality
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience and Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year experience
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Current Blue Card
* Current (minimum) Certificate III in Child Services
* Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 5pm - 9.30pm – School holidays – 11am-3pm
Saturday 11am -3pm & 5pm -9.30pm
Sunday 10.30am -3pm & 5pm -9.30pm
Approximately 20 hours per week, more during school holidays and to cover shifts
