You will support the Contract Manager in the successful operational delivery of the Suffolk Highways contract in line with Milestone values, policies, and procedures. The role requires a positive working relationship with the client, the contract team, the wider team, the supply chain, and all other stakeholders. To organise, direct and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the operations team to ensure they are working in a safe and efficient manner.As the Area Manager, you will be part of our Reactive team who are responsible for the delivery of safety defects from Cat 1 to 6, that have been identified by the client. This will also include management of resources and rotas for emergency and winter, which will include some overtime for nights and weekends if work activities require it.As the Area Manager your duties & responsibilities will be:Delivery of the services in line with the contract requirements to the satisfaction of the clientAssist with the formulation of strategies to support business growth and innovation, implementing action plans that lead to change or improvementEstablish clear objectives and performance standards across all Service Delivery Centres ensuring alignment with contract requirementsOptimise and oversee daily operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the county.Provide training, development, and encouragement to team members to ensure all works are resourced with sufficiently competent and motivated people for the role expected of themUnderstand the financial implications of operational delivery (CVRs) from each work stream.
