* Industry leading hourly rates, base hourly rates $45.46 starting and up to $53.37 (pending qualifications and experience) plus opportunities for overtime that incur additional penalty rates

UGL Regional Linx operate and maintain the NSW Country Regional Network (CRN).
UGL Regional Linx are currently looking for a Signal Mechanic seeking a long-term opportunity with a leading Rail Operator. This is a permanent position, based in Dubbo NSW.
Your Role As a Signal Mechanic:
* Install and maintain signalling infrastructure, including points machines and interlocking equipment.
* Conduct maintenance inspections and repairs according to the Technical Maintenance Plan.
* Identify and repair mechanical signalling faults and defects.
* Attend failures to diagnose and correct signalling issues.
* Participate in an on-call roster to address network issues outside of normal hours.
About You:
* Strong communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced operational environment with multiple and competing demands.
* Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and utilise new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
Your Experience:
* Cert III in Railway Signal Mechanical (preferred) if not.
* National competencies and previous experience in either Welding, Fitting Turning or Boiler making.
* Have mechanical aptitude and background.
* White card.
* Class C Driver’s licence essential (HR preferred).
* Two to five years’ experience in a similar role in the rail industry (desirable).
* Hold a current RIW card (preferable).
* Rail maintenance background and technical understanding.
* Intermediate computer literacy skills.
