Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW (RMHC NNSW) cares for families with a seriously ill or injured child. Their mission is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.
Verve Partners are proud to be partnering with RMHC NNSW to find a highly organised and proactive Fundraising Event Manager to join their team located in Newcastle. This position will play a vital role in strategically planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising events across Northern NSW, with an aim to achieve financial targets while fostering long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and the local community.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Coordinating and managing fundraising events from charity golf days to gala balls including venues, catering etc.
2. Organising event sponsorship and ticket sales and ensuring the experience is positive for those in attendance.
3. Coordinating volunteers for the events.
4. Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with presenters and major stakeholders.
5. Organising appropriate publicity and PR support for events.
6. Understanding, managing and reporting on event budgets, tracking financial performance weekly, monthly, and annually.
7. Managing invoices and reconciliation for events.
8. Mitigating any risks including health & safety, child protection, and HR/IR related risks.
About you:
1. Demonstrated experience in managing events with a focus on revenue generation & supporter/customer experience.
2. Be aligned to the strong values of RMHC NNSW.
3. Positive with a proactive approach to do the work.
4. Strategic with a creative flair.
5. Ability to collaborate and work well within the team as well as the ability to work autonomously.
6. Budget Management with accurate and timely reporting on the event performance.
7. Strong relationship skills to engage and develop key relationships.
8. Previous experience in the Not-for-Profit sector (desirable).
Essential for this role:
1. Driver's licence as some inter/intra state travel will be required.
2. WWCC and police check - or willing to get one.
3. Fully vaccinated as you will be in contact with vulnerable children.
4. Flexibility as some out of hours work will be required.
5. Able to undertake the physical tasks where required.
