At Cairns GP Superclinic, we are seeking a full-time registered nurse to work collaboratively with our nursing team, GPs and support staff, delivering triage, treatment room services, and integrated care for our patients. This is a full-time position - 5 days (38 hours) per week, 4 x 7.5 hours shifts and 1 x 8 hours shift, between the hours of 7.00am – 9.00pm Monday to Friday, or 8.00am – 6.00pm on weekends (Saturday or Sunday). Key responsibilities include: Triaging patients and prioritising emergency situations Assisting GPs with procedures, including excision of lesions Wound dressings and removal of sutures Performing ECGs and other tests, such as spirometry and audiograms Immunisations Health assessments, preparation and review of care plans Health coaching to support patients with achievement of their health goals Effective management of patient reminder system Supporting Enrolled Nurses Registering patients for eHealth Maintain and stock treatment rooms Coordination, management and maintenance of patient clinical care Applicants must have: Full working rights in Australia – No visa sponsorship available Current APHRA General Registration Current Indemnity Insurance Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Great time management and multi-tasking abilities Outstanding conflict resolution and problem-solving skills Ability to follow policies and procedures Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively Computer experience - Best Practice is desirable Some nursing experience in an Australian General Practice is preferred. Any additional experience and qualifications in immunisations, care plan and health assessments would be favourable. Remuneration negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
