Your new role We are currently seeking a proactive Personal Care Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic residential team at our Tom Fitzgerald Residential Aged Care Home on a Part-Time basis.
This is a Fixed term position with an 8 month contract running from the 3rd of November 2024 to the 16th of July 2025.
Your fortnightly roster will be as below: Week 1 –Thursday (0700 – 1500) Week 2 –Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (0700 – 1500) Successful candidates will have the capacity to undertake all the above shifts Your responsibilities and duties will include: Assisting residents with personal care including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living Observing and reporting changes in resident's behaviour or physical condition Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge Liaising with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required What is in it for you?
