This role requires strong mechanical expertise, hydraulic knowledge, and troubleshooting skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all pumping systems.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pump systems.Conduct necessary in-pit inspections of dewatering equipment.Install, maintain, and repair dewatering pipework and systems.Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on dewatering pumps, hoses, and related equipment.Perform on-site repairs of pumping systems, diagnosing faults and implementing solutions.Build new pumping assets for hire and rebuild old pumps to extend asset life.Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in pumps, motors, engines and associated components.Collaborate within the maintenance team to identify and implement equipment upgrades or improvements.Perform laser alignment of pump packages.Perform regular testing and calibration of pumps to meet operational requirements.Conduct operational testing (commissioning) of pump systems.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all work assignments.Assist the Supervisor in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives that create value to the business from a Dewatering maintenance perspective.Ensure area tooling and equipment required for water assets works are in working condition according to the manufacturer's requirements and tested to the site requirements.Assembly and installation of mechanical services plant, air handling and conditioning equipment and small-bore systems.About YouTo be successful in this role, you should have:Qualifications & ExperienceTechnical trade qualification in mechanical engineering2-5 years of experience in mechanical work, preferably in pump or engine systemsAustralia C class driver’s license.Skills & AttributesStrong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding expertiseAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and commitment to safety protocolsLicenses & Certifications (Desirable but Not Essential)MR/HR Rigid Driver’s LicenseHigh-Risk Work License (LF, WP, CN, DG)Construction Industry OHS White CardPre-Employment RequirementsNational Police ClearancePre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screeningHow to ApplyIf you’re ready to take the next step in your career and believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in this role, we’d love to hear from you!Apply now by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter to recruitment@abbaeng.com.Want to learn more?
