Advisor, Governance & Executive Support Fair Trading NSW - Strategy and Performance Clerk: Grade 7/8 Location : Sydney / hybrid opportunity. Travel to Parramatta and Gosford occasionally as required. We’re seeking a motivated and passionate team player to join the NSW Fair Trading Office of the Deputy Secretary (ODS). No two days are the same here in the ODS – it’s a dynamic, interesting office that works closely with our teams across NSW Fair Trading and Regulatory Services, stakeholders from the Department of Customer Service, and externally. You’ll work closely with the Senior Advisor – Executive Support to build programs and deliver projects for the benefit of the whole division, while having the opportunity to manage your own workload as a trusted and capable team member. This role would suit someone with a background in engagement, communications, executive support, program delivery, or similar. It’s a temporary, short-term opportunity for 12 months with the possibility of extension. If you’re a high achiever who’s looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you About the Office of the Deputy Secretary Sitting within NSW Fair Trading’s Strategy & Performance directorate, ODS is a small, dedicated team who provide high quality and professional executive support to the NSW Fair Trading & Regulatory Services Deputy Secretary and Commissioner for Fair Trading. We undertake a range of activities including: Preparing internal communications and events for the division Coordinating activities and programs across the division, and Delivering projects to improve internal running of the division. Alongside ODS, the Strategy & Performance team oversee Ministerial & Parliamentary Services, Governance & Business Resilience, Privacy & Right to Information, and Strategy and Insights on behalf of NSW Fair Trading. You will be joining a friendly, fast-paced, dedicated and motivated team, with a broad, interesting remit. Your responsibilities will include Managing, preparing, reviewing and sharing complex communications for the benefit of the Deputy Secretary and the division. This includes supporting internal communications and events (like divisional Town Halls) and internal and external engagements. Engaging with stakeholders from across the division to organise and manage shared projects and initiatives. Working closely with business partners from DCS teams including Finance, Procurement, ICT, Brand, Digital and Communications, and People and Culture to support the review and implementation of their work within our division. Undertaking a range of high-quality project management activities, including project planning, developing and managing project documentation, monitoring and reporting on progress of projects; identifying issues and proposing possible solutions; and project delivery. Analysing, preparing and presenting information to support meetings, presentations, speeches and interactions with key internal and external stakeholders Managing and maintaining communication channels efficiently and effectively, and direct enquiries as appropriate to facilitate the effective management of the Deputy Secretary’s office and ensure the security and confidentiality of documentation and information to expected standards. Contribute to the development of, and monitor, implement and evaluate administrative practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes.
