Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for the Ngarluma people, the Traditional Owners of the land and waters around the Pilbara region in Western Australia.
Our role is to represent and support the cultural, social, and economic interests of our people. We are deeply committed to fostering sustainable economic opportunities while protecting and preserving Ngarluma cultural heritage.
NAC is not just about managing land; it is about transforming the future of our community. With major projects like the 80MW solar farm in partnership with Rio Tinto, our vision is to leverage opportunities to build lasting, positive impacts for the Ngarluma people.
About the Role
We are looking for an inspiring and community-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead NAC through its next phase of growth and development. This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering life-changing benefits to Aboriginal communities while ensuring the Ngarluma culture and traditions are honoured and protected.
As CEO, you will play a pivotal role in empowering the Ngarluma people by driving initiatives that create economic self-sufficiency and long-term sustainability for the community. You will work closely with the Board of Directors and key stakeholders to develop strategic plans that reflect the aspirations of our people, ensuring that NAC continues to deliver positive outcomes in land management, economic development, and cultural preservation.

This solar farm is projected to generate sustainable revenue and create job opportunities for Ngarluma people, ensuring environmental sustainability while directly benefitting the community.
3. Empower and Support Community Members: Collaborate with Ngarluma members and other Aboriginal communities to support their goals in education and employment. This includes advocating for training programs, local business opportunities, and pathways to employment that empower our people to thrive on their land.
4. Cultural Stewardship: Work with Elders and other community leaders to protect and celebrate the rich heritage of the Ngarluma people. This includes overseeing cultural programs that strengthen traditional knowledge and practices for future generations.
5. Strong Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, non-profit organisations, and industry partners to secure funding and partnerships that benefit Ngarluma members.
6. Operational Leadership: Lead NAC's internal operations, ensuring financial sustainability, good governance, and staff development to support the corporation's ongoing success.

As CEO of NAC, you will directly impact the lives of our members and the broader Ngarluma community. This is more than a leadership role; it is a calling to serve, protect, and uplift the Ngarluma people. Your leadership will help us create a brighter future, where our culture is preserved and our people prosper.
Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation is not just focused on land management; we are about empowering the community through economic independence, education, and cultural heritage protection.
