Role Overview
As the Payroll Manager, you will oversee all payroll functions, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments while managing compliance with employment agreements, tax laws, and superannuation requirements. You will also play a key role in leading and developing the payroll team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, and Enterprise Agreement (EA) requirements
* Oversee day-to-day payroll operations, including task allocation, review of work, and system support
* Maintain governance and internal controls to ensure payroll processes are compliant and effective
* Collaborate with Finance, IT, and P&C teams to ensure smooth payroll operations and reporting
* Authorise payroll variance reports and oversee the EFT process
* Manage payroll system upgrades, testing, and implementation
* Administer end-of-year payroll processes and reporting
* Work with auditors to ensure accurate payroll cost accounting
* Streamline payroll processes to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burden
* Address payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner
* Implement effective performance management and conflict resolution strategies
