Benefits The above role will be paid in accordance with the Aged Care Award [MA000018], with a guaranteed annual income of $66,000 If eligible, you will be given employer sponsorship, if necessary. Age limit for permanent resident sponsorship is 55 years old for eligible PCA. Task & Responsibilities Assists residents with daily tasks, including mobility and personal hygiene needs. Oversees medication administration to ensure proper and effective usage. Collaborates with residents and their families to encourage acceptance of care services. Promotes social interaction and community involvement for residents. Works alongside a multidisciplinary team to follow health plans designed by medical professionals. Offers emotional support and helps residents cope with challenges like depression, confusion, and grief. Adheres to regulatory and quality standards within aged care facilities. May deliver specialized personal care, such as end-of-life and dementia support. May conduct basic medical tasks, such as managing catheters or providing PEG feeding. Qualification & Experience At least 1 year work experience undertaken in the past 3 years At least a relevant AQF Certificate III or 2 years of relevant work experience undertaken in the last 3 yrs to substitute to formal qualifications Customer Service Experience A broad knowledge of Residential Aged Care Standards. Experience in an Aged Care setting, while not being mandatory is seen as being desirable. Experience in having worked with Dementia Residents would be preferred but not essential. Aside from proficiency in English other language skills would be of benefit: Vietnamese, Tagalog, German, Ukranian to meet the needs of our consumer demographic.
