The Role George Fisher Mine are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer in the Engineering department. This exciting position reports directly to the Superintendent – Engineering and works within the Engineering department. This role is residentially based in Mount Isa and works an attractive 5/2, 4/3 (9 day fortnight) roster to promote a healthy work-life balance. Your key responsibilities include: Safe and successful delivery of capital, sustaining and asset improvement projects including shutdowns in a way that ensures that quality, financial and technical alignment with the business objectives and asset management strategies; The health and safety of the Engineering Team and obligated to contribute to safety leadership across the operations; Management of incidents & investigations in a timely manner, perform observations of the workforce and work environment; and ensure compliance with site health and safety policies, standards and procedures. Developing a positive team culture in line with Glencore values including mentoring and coaching to build employee role competency; Providing visible leadership and ensuring compliance to GFM policies, standards and procedures for the Engineering team; and Building and maintaining sustainable partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders, but no limited to the execution and operational teams to prioritise work and improve site asset availability.
