Our core business is providing assistance through emergency relief and financial counselling as well as personal development programs and support groups that empower individuals experiencing a stage of vulnerability in their lives.TSC is committed to being a centre for support, information and empowerment of individuals, families and communities whilst ensuring we uphold our values in everything we do.About the roleThe successful candidate will manage a budget of circa $1.3m and lead a team of staff and volunteers to meet the objectives of the operational and strategic plans.Reporting to the Board of Management, duties include but are not limited to:Providing responsive services delivering empowerment and sustained outcomes.Leading TSC to be a partner of choice for clients, funders and like-minded organisations.Leading a team of skilled and compassionate people working in a welcoming environment with appropriate infrastructure.Maintaining good governance, sound financial performance and long-term financial and non-financial sustainability.Identifying options for developing and implementing strategies to achieve desired outcomes and strategic goals.Building and maintaining a positive corporate brand.The PersonThe ideal candidate will be a transformational leader with experience in a similar not-for-profit or other relevant organisation. You will have excellent financial skills and a proven understanding of relevant legislation relating to not-for-profit organisations and/or community services.You will have a proven track record of producing consistent quality work in a timely manner with high attention to detail, as well as effective negotiation and communication skills.
