Forensic Primary Care Mental Health Registered Nurses Mental Health Registered Nurses with Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Competitive Salary of $87,385 – $95,481 base plus super Supporting the 186 PR and 482 TSS Temporary sponsorship visas subject to eligibility Supporting up to $10,000 relocation reimbursement incentives If you're eager to grow in a dynamic, patient-focused environment and value a positive, supportive team culture, this role offers great opportunities for both professional development and a fulfilling work experience.Your responsibilities will include: Provides primary mental health nursing services to people in prison.Undertakes At Risk assessments, within the specified timeframe, for people in prison who have been identified as at risk of self harm or suicideUndertakes primary mental health nurse clinics, where patients are assessed, treatment plans are reviewed, and ongoing care is discussed with the patient.Provides a primary mental health consultancy service for primary health nursing staff and other service providers.Participates in clinical handover meetings within the health team.Documents all patient occasions of service, declining of services, non-attendance and, appointment scheduling in the electronic medical record (EMR) and maintains confidentiality of health records.Documents occasions of service in the approved format.Work collaboratively with the Forensic Mental Health (FMH) Service Provider in the assessment and management of a mental health patient who may be deteriorating and/or have complex mental health issues.Refer patients to the FMH service for specialist assessment and review which includes managing the waitlist for the FMH outreach service at designated clients Healthcare locations.On-call requirements from 8am – 4pm or am -5pm required to be on-call to cover all 3 Prisons Marngonnet, Karrenga and Barwon, all located next door to each otherRequired to work across a 7-day roster – Monday – Sunday inclusiveExpected to work 6 shifts across the fortnight, shift times vary from 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm.
