Position DetailsFrench TeacherWe are seeking an innovative and highly skilled French Teacher to join our dedicated Languages Department. This is a full-time, temporary position for Term 2 only (long service leave replacement).Reporting to the Head of Learning Area Languages, the successful applicant will be a passionate French teacher with a demonstrated ability to be a dynamic and innovative educator who engages and encourages student learning.Your responsibilities as a French Teacher include:The ability to teach French to students in Years 7 - 10.The ability to teach across another subject area would be advantageous, Religious Education would be preferred (but not essential).Ability to effectively manage a pastoral care group (PCG).The ability to be innovative in current teaching methodologies, keeping up to date with current pedagogical trends in Languages.The ability to work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents, and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive, and positive working relationships.Selection CriteriaHighly skilled and competent Teacher of French with knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum: Languages.Experience in writing and delivering differentiated programs in French.Ability to demonstrate a strong practice and application of contemporary pedagogical practices.The ability to promote and support a culture where students are supported to be the best they can.An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.Qualifications RequiredUndergraduate degree in a specific discipline with a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) or Bachelor of Education.Catholic Education Western Australia encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with a disability, people of all ages, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
