About the Role
The Labour Hire Worker will work alongside the journal's editor, deputy editor, design and production manager, and migration officer to prepare content for publishing on the CDC's website(s).
Key Duties
* Systematically acquire, digitise and load data to databases, and develop and document scalable loading procedures.
* These data may include survey data, media/social media sentiment data, media and information environment analysis, messaging analysis, or other data.
* Scope, implement, and document database changes as required.
* Scope, develop, and document Power BI dashboard tools to visualise and analyse the data and facilitate comparison with other forms of strategic communications and soft-power related data.
Core Abilities
* Demonstrated experience in data curation, data analytics, and database design (or similar), as well as proficiency at all stages of the data analytic process, including but not limited to data collection, ETL, data wrangling, data cleaning, and data visualisation/data presentation.
* Proficiency in analytics and insight-related tools and techniques, such as Power BI, Excel, Python/R, SQL. An analytical mindset with the ability to extract, analyse, and edit large amounts of data, including an eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
* A relevant degree is preferred, and previous experience in similar data roles will be highly regarded.
* The candidate will be required to have a security clearance that is current or can be reinstated - AGSVA NV1 or higher.
