Job Title: APS5 Procurement Officer
Location: Sydney, NSW
Contract Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Hourly Rate: $55.24/hour + Super
Work Hours: 7.6 hours/day | 38 hours/week
Your Role:
As an APS5 Procurement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing procurement activities within a Federal Government environment.
You will work under limited supervision and undertake moderately complex to complex tasks while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert procurement advice to internal and external stakeholders.
* Develop procurement strategies, prepare documentation, evaluate tenders, and negotiate contracts.
* Manage confidential and sensitive information with precision and care.
* Ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), policies, and procedures.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to ongoing enhancements.
* Monitor progress and drive the achievement of work area objectives.
Requirements:
* Essential Skills:
o Strong understanding of Federal/State Government procurement processes.
o Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
o Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
o Ability to manage high-volume tasks and thrive in a dynamic environment.
* Desirable Skills:
o Experience with procurement, HR, or project management systems.
