We offer unique independent living opportunities by providing tailored apartment accommodation combined with 24-hour support models; together, we empower our clients to live their lifestyle of choice.About the PositionThe Financial Controller will report to the CEO and be responsible for overseeing accounting operations of the company, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and establishment of a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk.
You will be accountable for enhancing accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring reported results comply with international financial reporting standards.Key Responsibilities IncludeFinancial Reporting - preparing timely and accurate financial statements and management reports; ensure compliance with local accounting standards; oversee the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts; monitor and analyse monthly operating results against budget.Accounting Operations - maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; managing operations of the accounting department, including the design of organisational structure to achieve department goals and objectives; overseeing the accounting operations, control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.Internal Controls & Compliance - implement and maintain internal control safeguards; ensure compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements.Financial Analysis & Strategic Planning - provide financial analysis and decision-making support for key business initiatives; collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies; conduct profitability analysis for new business ventures.Leadership & Management - lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals; foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team; provide guidance and support for cross-functional teams on financial matters.About YouYou will thrive and succeed in our team by bringing the following experience:Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldCA, CPA or equivalent certification preferredMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practicesProficiency in accounting softwareExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAdditionally, you will stand out from the crowd if you can demonstrate the following:Advanced Excel skillsKnowledge of financial analysis and reporting toolsStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work environmentsWant to make a real difference in people's lives?
