About the Role As a Cyber Perimeter Defence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the Bank of Queensland's (BOQ) capability to identify and respond to cyber security vulnerabilities.
Reporting to the Team Lead Cyber Perimeter Defence, you will work proactively to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the bank's information systems and assets.
Your key responsibilities will include: Security Vulnerability Management : Leveraging vulnerability management and OSINT tools to identify potential risks, conducting risk assessments, preparing detailed reports, and providing remediation recommendations.
You will also monitor and track the remediation of identified vulnerabilities and ensure timely resolution.
Security Pentest Management : Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to validate pentest requirements, triage findings, conduct risk assessments, and provide remediation recommendations.

Security Perimeter Management : Governing firewall management platforms, analyzing and reviewing firewall and proxy change requests, and staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to recommend and implement security enhancements.
About you To excel in this role, you will need experience in cyber testing and vulnerabilities, including detection, response, and recovery.
Familiarity with the cyber vulnerabilities landscape in the financial services industry and experience working with investigation teams, security operations, and engineering teams are essential.
Knowledge of network protocols and security technologies, as well as familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and best practices such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS, is crucial.
Your educational background will include tertiary education or equivalent in a related discipline, such as a BA in ICT or Cyber Security, along with relevant industry certifications like CompTIA in security.
Additionally, you will possess effective communication and influential skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to collaborate with others.
An innovation mindset, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are also important attributes for this role.
