About the role
Based in Canberra (ACT), this full-time (parental leave cover) role as the Finance Assistant is responsible for the accounts payable functions, maintaining an efficient and accurate contract database, and providing support to the Finance Manager. Duties may include:
Preparation of license agreements, variations, and other licensing administration tasks for customer accounts. Process accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner for three separate companies. Weekly reporting on key financial and non-financial data. Income recognition, including data entry from the operations system into Xero. Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts on a timely basis. Maintain strong and accurate internal controls and accounting records. Other duties as required. The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant with a passion for fitness to join our finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. Ideally, you will possess the following skills:
Tertiary Qualification in Finance/Accounting. Preferably at least one year experience in a similar role. Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental finance principles. Excellent problem identification and analysis skills. Focus on meeting deadlines and initiative with the ability to work independently. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Clear and concise written skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. What we offer
