The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn and adapt to Star Group’s procedures and systems. This position offers the opportunity to further your estimating experience across the diverse areas that Star Group specializes in. It is a deadline-driven role that requires high attention to detail and accuracy to ensure all project elements are estimated according to standards, project specifications, and tender documentation.Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesComplete estimates independently for Star Group bids and projects.Work as part of a team on all tenders.Deliver accurate and quality submissions for bids.Pay attention to detail in reviewing tender documentation and making accurate allowances.Deliver and manage tenders within tight deadlines.Provide estimates using Star Group estimating systems and processes, including using Star Group estimating software.Estimate Design and Construct tenders.Estimate across several disciplines, including Electrical Construction, Industrial, Fitout, and Communications.About You:Electrical trade or relevant qualifications (essential).Experience in a qualified electrical trade position in construction (Preferred).Experience in a previous estimating position in the electrical construction/industrial industry.Experience in using estimating software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and accuracy over long periods.Experience with prioritising and meeting deadlines within short notice.Experience in bid and tender processes.Ability to work with clients professionally and achieve clients' requirements.Ability to think outside the square and experience in value engineering.The Rewards For Your Hard Work12 additional leave days (Leisure Days) per year.Part of a collaborative and inclusive team.Commitment to personal development and career progression through ongoing training.Access to Employee Assistance Programs.The ability to work in a collaborative, supportive team environment.Star Group is committed to ensuring their employees have an opportunity to develop themselves further and their careers.
