An outstanding prospect is available for an enthusiastic and proactive Hospital Educator to become part of the team at a private hospital in Darwin. It is a full-time position. Relocation assistance is negotiable.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Facility Educator, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning, developing, and delivering nursing education courses/programs within the hospital;
* Coordinating and providing hands-on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation, as well as orienting all staff, graduate nurses, and students;
* Promoting a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients through the dissemination of current best practice knowledge;
* Supervising staff compliance with annual Mandatory Training and the completion of eLearning components;
* Ensure that best-practice competency-based programs are available and that all operating theatre staff are assessed for their competencies.
REQUIREMENTS
* Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration;
* Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE) (or working towards);
* Post Graduate Certificate in related specialty area (or working towards);
* Minimum of 3 years relevant educator experience;
* Demonstrated experience in eLearning platform;
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
