Located in the Integrity, Regulation and Legal Services (IRLS) group, the Tobacco Regulation Project (TRP) has been established to deliver the Government's commitment to implement a tobacco regulation and licensing scheme.About the Role Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services and Operations, the Principal Adviser, Corporate Services and Operations will provide expert leadership and strategic guidance on the delivery of key operational projects to support the establishment of the tobacco licensing scheme and regulator, including:providing governance, planning, reporting, financial management, procurement, ICT, and human resources supportplanning and overseeing a diverse range of projects to ensure successful executionmaintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, clients, and team members, to align projects with strategic objectivesdeveloping operational policies, procedures, and undertake additional activities as required.The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires a capacity to exercise sound judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, using influence and negotiation skills to support the provision of clear advice to support effective, timely actions.Core to being successful in this role will be your ability to understand new subject matter quickly, demonstrate appropriate initiative, and your capacity to write accurate, timely and audience-appropriate documents and briefings.To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About you To be successful in this role, you will have:Demonstrated experience in matters of service planning, corporate services and governance.Experience in managing complex and time critical projects.Sound knowledge of and/or experience in Victorian government administrative processes, contractual and compliance requirements.Knowledge and understanding of the key issues impacting the management and delivery of public services and a track record in the provision of clear high-level advice on complex issues.Qualifications An appropriate qualification or relevant experience in the fields of project management and corporate services would be highly desirable.How to Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
