Senior Project Manager Operations Physical SecurityAt APA, our purpose is simple: to strengthen communities through responsible energy.We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Project Manager Operations Physical Security to join our Operations and Maintenance team in either Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide on a contract basis.Reporting to the Program Manager Operations Physical Security, you will be part of the Operations and Maintenance division of APA and will support the ongoing management of a physical security and natural hazards program in accordance with security of critical infrastructure requirements.The location for this role is flexible and hybrid; we will consider locations all over Australia and/or home office. We will also consider job share arrangements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all aspects of the physical security projects ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.Ensure effective coordination and integration of activities between business owners, delivery teams, and external support services.Oversee the delivery of the physical security program, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.Ensure exception-based reporting on escalations and significant project developments.Monitor progress across all active projects, ensuring milestones are achieved and risks are managed and communicated to respective stakeholders.Work closely with PMO/Financial Control and Procurement teams to ensure that physical security projects remain within budget and procurement processes are followed.Your BackgroundProven capability in project management including negotiation, compliance and management.Strong leadership skills with the ability to gain respect and to create collaboration amongst the members of project teams.Able to communicate (verbal & written) and work effectively across the business - implement change and new programs, work processes and practices.10+ years' experience with construction, operation, and maintenance of energy industry assets or 7+ years' experience in a physical security profile or equivalent.About the TeamSecurity underpins everything we do at APA and is all about keeping our people, communities, and assets safe from risks that may impact our ability to deliver essential energy to millions of Australians.
