Job Description
The Role
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Afternoon Shift - Site Supervisor to join our Chipping Norton Team. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring production targets are met during their shift. In addition to this, the Site Supervisor is responsible for aspects of safety, environment, people management, quality, and customer service for their shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing production feed rates and product yields as per targets provided
* Ensuring plants operate at maximum efficiency
* Maintaining a high level of customer service
* Managing truck waiting times to prevent yard congestion
* Handling complaints when required
* Coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor to manage planned equipment maintenance and minimize downtime
* Identifying and responding to breakdowns and maintenance issues, communicating to the relevant personnel
* Ensuring all Work Health and Safety procedures and processes are followed
* People management, ensuring adequate staff availability at all times
* Monitoring key environmental areas such as dust suppression, water, and noise
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a recycling environment
* Previous experience working with crushers, conveyors, and screens
* Previous experience supervising or managing a team
* Experience operating mobile plant (desirable)
* Awareness of working in an environment with heavy plant machinery
* Experience in conducting training and assessment
* Experience in implementing safety standards within a workplace
* Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
* Ability to work self-directed and with limited supervision
* The ability to drive a strong safety culture amongst the team
* First aid, EWP, working at heights, and driver's licence required
