About the role
In this role, you will play an integral part of the service's effective and efficient operations and delivery of responsive quality programs and provide essential support and advice to the Centre Manager to ensure the efficient and effective strategic management of the service, under the direction of the Early Childhood Education and Care Coordinator.
This role is based at Korayn Birralee Family Centre in Corio.
Key responsibilities include: Assisting in the leadership of a multi-disciplinary team of early childhood professionals, including maternal and child health nurses, teachers, and educators, to ensure compliance with City of Greater Geelong policies and procedures and relevant State and Commonwealth Government regulations and legislation.Ensuring service culture embraces the principles and practices of an integrated service delivery model.Assisting with and work collaboratively with the Centre Manager to ensure the efficient administrative functioning of the service, including maintaining accurate family records, invoicing, procurement of stock and equipment, reception duties, rostering, processing, and monitoring of agreements, licenses and leases, and other administrative tasks as required.Providing Educational Leadership through mentoring, guidance, and support to educators in collaboration with the Centre Manager and assist in staff performance reviews.Supporting staff recruitment, induction, onboarding, line management, and training for staff as directed by the Centre Manager.Actively encouraging families and the broader community to authentic participation and engagement with the service via the development of a family engagement plan.About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education. A Diploma in Children's Services will also be considered.
Current First Aid, Management of Anaphylaxis, Asthma, and CPR.Current Employee Working with Children Check.Experience in managing and providing leadership and professional support to staff within a children's service.Proven high level of skills in business administration of ECEC services, organisation, and time management.Thorough understanding of the National Early Childhood Quality Framework and the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.Sound understanding of the principles of integrated service delivery and an ability to undertake a leadership role within an integrated service model.Ability to undertake consultations with children, parents, and the local community in relation to the review and development of programs and services within the service.Child Safety Responsibilities
