About the Role
We are seeking a suitably qualified, highly experienced, and driven Cello Instrumental Music Tutor at our Toorak campus. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging and considered individual music lessons to students from Prep to Year 6, inclusive of our Classroom Instrumental Programs for Years 2 and 3, and assist with ensembles.
This is a casual contract for approximately one and a half days per week, commencing at the beginning of Term 2 2025. The role requires availability on Thursdays, with potential for further increase as the program grows.
Ideal Candidate Criteria
1. Tertiary Music qualification - Cello.
2. Experience teaching within a school music program.
3. A proven record of excellence in tutoring and performance skills gained through training or experience.
4. A dynamic manner with the ability to relate well to students of all ages and abilities, and to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
5. Experience in tuition of individual students and small groups within a Classroom Instrumental Programme.
6. Availability to participate in rehearsals, concerts, and music events.
7. Provide Ensemble direction, piano accompaniment, and conducting skills will be considered advantageous.
8. VIT or Working with Children Check.
