Internal Auditor
Duties are as follows:
* Conduct comprehensive audits across all departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
* Plan and execute internal audits, establishing clear objectives for each engagement to align with organizational goals.
* Compile and prepare accurate financial statements and reports for management, shareholders, and statutory bodies.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret information on the financial standing, cost structures, and trading effectiveness of the organization.
* Identify, manage, and report on financial risks associated with operations, investments, and strategic initiatives.
* Assess the cost-effectiveness and risks of operational processes, activities, policies, and systems.
* Provide guidance to the governing board on compliance with stock exchange listing rules, relevant legislation, and corporate governance practices.
* Ensure that all financial operations comply with applicable laws and industry standards.
* Oversee treasury functions by establishing and reviewing risk management objectives and treasury policies.
* Prepare documentation related to share issues, handle share transfers, and ensure compliance with share capital regulations.
* Devise, reorganize, and implement budgetary cost control systems to enhance financial planning.
* Review budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
* Develop detailed audit reports documenting findings, recommendations for improvements, and action plans for management review.
* Regularly report to management on the existence and effectiveness of the system of internal controls.
* Organize, give notice of, and attend meetings of directors and shareholders to discuss audit findings and compliance matters.
* Work closely with various departments to develop risk management strategies and improve operational efficiencies.
* Track the implementation of audit recommendations to assess their effectiveness over time.
* Stay updated on best practices in auditing, risk management, and regulatory changes through continuous professional education.
* Conduct investigations into any signs of fraudulent activities or financial irregularities within the organization.
* Propose corrective actions to prevent future occurrences of fraud.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 10 years experience
Bachelor Degree (Law)
