About the role
The National Fleet Manager will provide Fleet support services for the ACIC including:
* Stakeholder engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
* Managing and mentoring a team of State and Regional Fleet Coordinators Nationally;
* Managing the performance and development of State and Regional Fleet coordinators;
* Management of the national fleet program
* Coordinating new vehicle leasing requirements with State and Regional Fleet coordinators;
* Management of the fleet compliance and governance framework, including providing policy updates and reporting;
* Working closely with operational teams on fleet requirements;
* Coordination of vehicle maintenance schedules;
* Secretariat duties relating to the internal traffic infringement review panel; and
* National Stakeholder consultation at Director level
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
* National Fleet Management experience;
* Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a nationally dispersed team in a dynamic service delivery role;
* The ability to negotiate and manage competing demands from managers and executives;
* Strong interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communication, in addition to strong stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and effectively manage expectations;
* Leadership skills including the ability to mentor and grow a team of regional fleet coordinators;
* The ability to prioritise and re-prioritise tasks quickly to respond to changing demands and circumstances;
* Works collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including National consultation at Director level to develop and maintain effective working relationships;
* Has excellent organisational and time management skills;
* Demonstrated experience in creating a positive team environment and managing workloads;
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
* Can apply sound judgement, problem-solve and share information and learnings to benefit a team;
* Engage with an extensive array of stakeholders on any given project;
* Plan and facilitate stakeholder engagement activities for the national fleet program of work;
* Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of independence and professionalism, including the ability to prioritise and undertake a varied workload and respond positively and flexibly to change.
Essential Qualifications
* Previous Fleet Management experience or management of a national capability;
* Previous Stakeholder engagement with middle and senior management and demonstrated ability to form essential working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Eligibility
* Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen
* Security Clearance - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
* Pre-Employment Screening – All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
