We are also committed to the continuous development and training of our personnel to maintain a safe and rewarding work environment.KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for an HSE Advisor to be based on site and when not on site working from the Mackay Office in Queensland.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor the health, safety and environmental hazards and risks for all personnel.Promote a culture within the workforce of zero tolerance to injuries.Ensure that all HS&E statutory obligations and requirements are met.Adopt a “Lead by Example” approach to compliance and implement appropriate HS&E processes to ensure personnel at all levels are aware of their responsibilities.Investigate HS&E near misses and incidents, with outcome of investigation produced in a timely and professional manner;Assist injured employees with sourcing appropriate medical treatment and liaise with Human Resources in the development of return to work plans.Ensure that all HS&E processes comply with the requirements of KAEFER and client policies, procedures and project specifications, as identified in the contract document and HSE management plan(s).Participate in the periodic review of processes and the system of audit for HS&E to ensure proper alignment with Client and Corporate goals and targets, plus areas of continuous improvement.Actively pursue compliance with the KAEFER Management System.Maintain effective communications and rapport with the Client.Provide assistance and support to Supervision and Management to resource adequate and appropriate HS&E resources for operational requirements, instruction and training.Demonstrate effective communication skills across all levels of the organisation, particularly amongst the workforce in a variety of mediums (ie. Verbal, Written, Presentation).Review incident reporting, including Near Misses, and provide input, as appropriate, to corrective actions and prevention.Participate in the development of internal HSE training packages and presentation to the workforce.Develop and deliver training programs as agreed with the HSE Manager;Accurate training records are to be maintained in a timely manner;Maintain and develop all HSE reporting systems.Monitor the quality of risk assessments carried out by employees and provide coaching where needed;Prepare and deliver toolbox topics;About YouMinimum of Certificate IV in Workplace Health, Safety and Environment, or equivalent.Preferred Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.Experience working with ISO 9001/14001 and AS/NZS 4801 standards.Experience working on Projects with similar scopes of work, particularly Industrial Insulation, Painting and Blasting, and Scaffolding is an advantage.We are offeringContinuous Training and Career DevelopmentAccess to employee benefitsIf you possess the above experience or are looking for a way to kick start your career in the industry, please click “APPLY” below.
