Hays Recruitment Townsville is working with a committed and passionate organisation who specialise in children's services, that provide essential support and care to children and families in need. We are assisting them in their search for a dedicated and experienced Receptionist.
Your new role The key responsibilities include welcoming and assisting visitors, clients, and employees professionally and warmly, managing incoming phone calls and emails, and directing them appropriately. The role involves performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining office supplies, as well as keeping the office organised and ensuring the reception area is clean and inviting. Additionally, the position requires handling enquiries, assisting with customer service requests, and routing information to relevant departments. Responsibilities also include preparing and filing documents, managing office correspondence, assisting with data entry, and supporting team members with various tasks and projects as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will need to possess the following.
* Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role.
* Ability to obtain and pass a criminal history background check.
* A current Working with Children's Blue Card.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Friendly and professional phone manner.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
