An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our Personal Injuries Department based in the Rockhampton office.
The successful candidate will have a passion for helping clients obtain compensation and be experienced in managing high volume tasks. They will need to be deadline driven with both high-level written and verbal communication and client relationship skills. An excellent eye for detail is essential in making this role a success. This is a great role for a final year law student wanting to advance and offers a fantastic learning and development journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Gathering and analysing data;
* Reviewing and analysing documents (medical records, expert reports, liability documents etc.);
* Identifying relevant issues in documentation;
* Drafting medical chronologies;
* Obtaining witness statements;
* Drafting Notices of Claim forms;
* Drafting Statements of Loss and Damage; and
* Liaising with clients.
The experience we are looking for
An understanding of core legal principles, your ability to manage competing demands effectively and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performance team will see you excel in this role. In addition, you will have:
* Excellent organisational skills and an ability to multi-task;
* An understanding of our client base and the ability to display empathy and compassion;
* Experience carrying out complex legal research;
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team;
* High attention to detail;
* Previous experience in a professional services firm is desirable but not essential.
