About the role Mater Health Physiotherapy Department is looking for a new Physiotherapist to join the team on a maximum term fulltime basis until 30 th June 2025. As a member of the Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team, you will provide patient centred, evidence based clinical care in an outpatient setting across various caseloads such as; The Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Screening Clinic, Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic outpatients. This role may also include Orthopaedic inpatient caseloads and may include weekend service coverage on a rostered basis. Salary range: $39.86 - $58.59 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits What you’ll be doing Independently undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols to achieve patient focused outcomes Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision Provide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers in the delivery of clinical services Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes Actively participate in translating research into practice Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies to facilitate patient centred care Participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise Contribute to the learning and development of the team through clinical education and clinical supervision About you Essential Qualifications Qualification in Physiotherapy as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council Registration with AHPRA Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number Skills, Knowledge and Experience At least twelve months experience working in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal outpatients in an acute hospital setting is strongly desirable A well developed level of physiotherapy clinical knowledge in the area of orthopaedics and musculoskeletal physiotherapy care A demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload from day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as required Demonstrated attributes of solutions focus, flexibility and resilience Why join us?
