2. Salary: $70,535 - $96,242 (pro-rata) - RN/RM1
3. Multiple Permanent Full-Time positions available (part time hours to be considered), working over a 7 day roster
Overview
You will assist with the provision of professional high quality nursing and midwifery care within the Maternity/Paediatric Unit at Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the Maternity/Paediatric Unit. Mount Gambier & District Health Service is the largest hospital in rural South Australia and has been identified as one of the four general hospitals to provide treatment for Country people closer to home. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in nursing/midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will demonstrate a commitment to providing patient and family-centred care. Your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will equip you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads.
