Field Service Engineer - Separation
Who You Are
You have Trade relevant Mechanical engineering qualifications – Fitter, Fitter machinist, mechanical engineer, with proven, hands-on, post qualification experience, assembling and disassembling mechanical (separation) machinery and components.
You are an individual that has excellent organizational skills to record service tasks in a clear concise service report and submit all job-related paperwork and expenditure in a timely manner.
You are a great communicator, able to discuss issues and advise solutions to our customers equipment and processes.
You must be confident & self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or remotely supported, able to follow direction and instructions with ease.
You have a good level of physical fitness, and you must have the digital mindset and skills to work with the business tools and help drive our company’s digitalization journey.
About the Job
1. Servicing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Decanter centrifuge & High-speed separators.
2. Be able to read & interpret engineering drawings, manuals, exploded diagrams & P&ID drawings.
3. Compiling of technical service reports.
4. Work to high level of H&S – Compiling & working to JSEA’s. SWMS, permit to work, Take 5 etc
5. Being part of a pioneering team developing new applications via trials.
6. The satisfaction of keeping equipment running reliably with happy customers.
7. The diversity of working on customers site, equipment and application types compared to being rigidly located on one site.
8. A combination of regional, interstate, and local metro work.
9. Support in our Perth workshop when required.
What you Know
10. Mechanical fundamentals
11. Experience with High-speed separators and Decanter centrifuge machines.
12. Experience in Marine, Brewing, Wastewater, Mining, Rendering, Oil & Gas applications
13. PLC Control systems experience would be highly advantageous – Siemens, Allen & Bradly, 2 Touch, Plus, Basic, DCC, EPC 50/60.
14. Electrical troubleshooting experience would be highly advantageous (but not essential)
15. Australian connect/disconnect license
16. You will require a full driving license.
17. Have strong English language and writing skills.
18. Have strong digital skills – Word, Excel, Lotus Notes.
19. Hold an Industry white card
20. Hold a forklift license (preferable, not essential)
21. Hold a Dogger or rigger ticket (preferable, not essential)
22. Hold a confined space ticket (preferable, not essential)
23. Additional experience with Compabloc (welded heat exchanger), offshore working, Welded & Semi-welded Plate heat exchangers and CIP procedure would be advantageous.
24. Reading Plate heat exchanger plate specification drawings to ensure correct assembly would be advantageous
25. Must hold Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
