You can salary package up to $15,900 pa of your pre-tax salary for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 pa for entertainment expenses.On-site cafe and free off-street parkingAbout The RoleThe overall role of Case Worker is to promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people in the foster care program through effective case work and support.AdministrationMaintain client records and case management system according to policies, procedures, standards and legislationCheck and respond to correspondence regularlyAttend supervision meetings as required by ManagementAttend ongoing training and development opportunities as required by ManagementCaseworkMaintain currency of knowledge of the framework that governs our OOHC practice including internal policies and procedures, NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care and current legislationAdvocate on behalf of clients and at all times promote their best interestsProvide support to a child or young person in care and to their carer families in various ways including home visits, trauma-informed care education, behaviour support strategies, advocacy, referral to relevant therapeutic support servicesDevelop and implement effective case plans, leaving care plans, and an after care plan with child or young person in care, carers, birth family and relevant professionals within required time framesConduct case reviews to ensure case plan goals are being addressed or updated as requiredDevelop and ensure implementation of effective behaviour management and support plans within required time framesMonitor, implement and collect data on behaviour management strategiesMeet regularly with clients and their carer familyArrange birth family contact in accordance with the court order, care plan and in the best interests of children and young people in careMaintain a good understanding of the quality of care being received by a child or young person in carePrepare organisational reports to a high standard and in a timely mannerPrepare Court material (for example S82 reports and Affidavits) to a high standard and in a timely mannerCollaborate with Community Services in accordance with the Case Management Policy and case specific needsLiaise with the Case Manager about issues above your delegationLiaise regularly with carer families to promote a positive and high quality placementLiaise with birth families to promote their engagement in meeting a child or young person’s needs and promote a child’s birth family identityLiaise with other service providers to promote the needs of children and young people in careWork from a strengths based and child-focused perspective at all timesRespond in a timely manner to any concerns raised about the safety, welfare and wellbeing of a child or young person in careWorkplace health and safetyPrepare incident reports to a high standard and in a timely mannerAdvise the Case Manager of any grievances, critical incidents, issues or concerns regarding clients, employees and foster carers in a timely mannerPromotion of Allambi Care valuesParticipate as an active team member within Allambi CarePresent yourself as a positive team member of Allambi Care at all timesAttend team meetingsParticipate in Allambi Care foster care eventsParticipate when requested by management, in interagency events as a willing Allambi Care team memberParticipate in local networking meetings to ensure that Allambi Care is aware of the expectations of the wider OOHC sectorEnsure all casework tasks are performed satisfactorily to allow Allambi Care to meet its requirements to Service Users, Funding Bodies and the BoardMinimum RequirementsMinimum qualification of a Diploma in Community Services or a social work, social science, welfare or a related disciplineExperience in Case Management and/or working with families or children and young peopleDemonstrated understanding of the needs and issues facing OOHC stakeholders.Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in Microsoft Office Applications.Knowledge of Needs Based Framework, TCI concepts and strategiesMust have these documents if successfulCurrent Working with Children Check (for paid employment - can be obtained via this link)Current NDIS Worker Check: (can be obtained via this link)Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid;
