Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the operation through mine designs and schedules that are operationally and technically robust and maximise value.
Within the Short Term Planning team, you will have exposure to Mine Design, Drill & Blast and Short Term Scheduling. You will be supported to build and maintain working relationships with peers and stakeholders in the office and in the field.
Professional development is at the core of the Technical Services Team and you will be provided coaching and mentoring from some of the best engineers in the business.
ABOUT THE ROLE
1. Being a role model for safety on site.
2. Providing expertise and oversight to optimise mine design and scheduling.
3. Reconciliation of mine design process and conformance to plan.
4. Liaising with stakeholders regarding short term design and scheduling.
5. Review equipment conformance to plan and performance feedback.

ABOUT YOU
1. A commitment to the best practice of health, safety environment and community at all times
2. Tertiary qualifications in Mining or Civil Engineering (or demonstrated practical experience)
3. Passion for problem solving by utilising your experiences, knowledge and lateral thinking skills
4. Excellent planning, organising and influencing skills
5. Experience with Vulcan, Deswik or other CAD software would be desirable
