The annual reviews team conducts assessments on SME Wholesale customers to assess their risk level and ability to continually honour outstanding credit obligations.
About the Role
As a Credit Manager, you will need to hold a Commercial Wholesale CAD (preferably Corp 15) and manage counterparty credit risk by using appropriate judgement and commercial credit experience to assess the credit risks associated with all credit reviews.
Ensure the overall credit quality of accounts under review remains within Judgmental Credit Requirements (JCR).
Protect the bank’s interest by identifying early signs of deteriorations and providing support to customers wherever required.
Making a decision whether to extend credit or cease extending credit to borrower, as they go towards capital provisioning.
Determining if customers continue to meet existing lending criteria and standards and understand and duly document any departures to the same.
Handle escalations from frontline and approvals from Senior and Junior Credit Analysts.
Act as point of reference for Credit Analysts and team members.
Coach and mentor other Credit Analysts/team members.
Collaborate with other Credit Support units on initiatives/projects and act as SME for credit related queries.

Shift Schedule: Hybrid Working (working a minimum of 50% from office)
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you should bring in the following:
1. Experience: Around 4 - 5 yrs of experience in the Banking industry, with some experience in Credit (preferably Commercial).
2. Sound knowledge of credit policy and risk management of portfolio.
3. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and impacts and recommend actions to enable resolution of business challenges.
4. Ability to work accurately under pressure with attention to detail, following through all issues to completion.
5. Negotiation skills to enable successful resolution of credit papers/queries/complaints.
6. Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, all levels of employees and management.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
