Your new role
We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Information and Digital Services unit as an IT Systems Administrator on a full-time, ongoing basis. Reporting to the Team Leader, IT Infrastructure, the role will provide 1st to 4th level support and service to all IBAC officers for all IT systems, in accordance with agreed processes and policies.
Duties include:
1. Assist IBAC officers with their use of bespoke electronic collection, surveillance, and digital forensics systems, managing highly confidential and sensitive information. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely technical support.
2. Analyse, trouble-shoot and rectify incidents, and provide technical support to the Service Delivery team.
3. Assist with ICT implementations and projects, carrying out application administration and system upgrades, and commissioning of new systems.
4. Manage the infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud (Azure and AWS) - monitoring, preventative maintenance, backup and restore

Please note: this role provides after hours on-call support on a rostered basis, or as required. Additionally, this role may be required to work outside usual business hours to support operational commitments (, completing system upgrades, commissioning new systems etc.)
Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
Our requirements / Your skill set
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
5. Tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications or industry experience in Information Technology.
6. Demonstrable experience and skills supporting servers (physical/virtual), SAN technologies, Microsoft and Linux platforms, network infrastructure and security appliances (switches and firewalls).
7. Experience in administration of virtualised environments: VMware, VDI, Azure VMs.
8. Proven Experience supporting cloud technology like Azure (Saas, Paas, Iaas), Microsoft 365 services (MS Intune, Exchange Online, MS Teams, Intune, Entra) and hybrid environments.
9. Knowledge of ITIL processes is desirable.
10. Experience in the administration of database servers (MS SQL), Backup and recovery (Veeam, Azure Backup).
