About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Locum Speech Therapist to join our clients team in Regional Southern New South Wales. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients both within the hospital setting and the wider community. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality speech therapy services to individuals of all ages, helping them overcome communication and swallowing disorders. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide therapy and counseling to patients and their families to support their communication and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, and occupational therapists, to deliver holistic patient care. Participate in community outreach programs, including running workshops and support groups. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital policies. Contribute to the training and supervision of junior staff and speech therapy students. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Speech Pathology from a recognised university. Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and a valid practicing certificate. Experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a hospital environment. Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, treatment methods, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for community outreach activities.
