Senior Manager, Performance and Attribution
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Services team at Mercer. This role will be based in either our Melbourne (Docklands) or Sydney (Barangaroo) office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office and is a 12 month parental leave contract.
We will count on you to:
* Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks tailored to the Australian and New Zealand markets.
* Conduct in-depth attribution analysis to identify sources of portfolio returns and provide actionable insights to investment teams.
* Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of performance data, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
* Prepare comprehensive performance reports for stakeholders, including senior management, clients and regulatory bodies.
* Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
What you need to have:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., CFA, CIPM) preferred.
* Strong understanding of investment principles, financial markets, and performance measurement methodologies.
* Proven track record in setting up performance analysis teams for multi-sector investment strategies.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts effectively.
* Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in investment performance analysis, with at least 5 years in people management.
