About the opportunity
Operating in the capacity of project manager and design lead for local projects, you'll be working with designers, civil engineers, construction administrators and project managers to bring to life complex land developments, master planned communities and infrastructure projects. This role will see you:
1. Being the primary point of contact for the client through the lifecycle of the project, ensuring complex challenges and problems are managed.
2. Taking overall responsibility for design delivery including resource management of designers and coordination of other disciplines, both internal and external.
3. Preparing tender and contract documentation.
4. Collaborating in the design approval process.
5. Managing invoicing, planning, tracking project health and mitigating potential issues.
6. The opportunity to contribute to projects in other geographies.
About you
You are a Chartered Civil Engineer (or ability to get Chartered), highly regarded for your technical expertise, with a proven track record successfully delivering land development and infrastructure projects. You thrive in a close knit, local team that is nimble and has the flexibility to offer you a breadth of responsibility and role diversity. You will come to us with:
1. Experience in civil design, construction, contracts administration or water engineering.
2. Strong ties to the Ballarat community and network connections in the land development market locally.
3. The ability to lead, manage, mentor and motivate junior engineers and a passion for supporting continuous development and learning.
4. A proven ability to use your communication skills effectively to achieve anticipated outcomes, whilst maintaining positive working relationships.
5. A passion for teamwork and collaboration; fostering a multidisciplinary approach to projects.
