About the role Exciting opportunity to join our Outbound Transport Team and growing Supply Chain & Logistics division. As the Divisional Outbound Transport Manager, you will manage carriers, the customer delivery offer and oversee store activity and services specific to last mile transport across the East Division of Australia. What's involved: Manage the performance of preferred transport providers in accordance with agreed KPI’s including transport compliance, safety and customer service. Identify improvement opportunities across the East Division and work with internal stakeholders to ensure best experience. Educate store teams across the customer delivery offer, customer experience and oversee use of authorised carriers within the delivery network. Work with stores and internal stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner Work with key stakeholders assisting them to understand the levers in driving transport recoveries to budgeted levels, whilst decreasing transport expense. Ensure performance improvement plans are in place and monitored regularly Who we’re looking for You will bring strong transport knowledge, operational skills and a passion for customer service. Your excellent communication and account management skills will provide you with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to influence and negotiate positive outcomes. You’ll need: Extensive knowledge of the transport industry and different transport methods. Demonstrated experience in a similar role or an Account Management/Business Development role within Supply Chain and Logistics/Transport. Demonstrated experience in managing and fostering key supplier relationships. Well-developed understanding of Chain of Responsibility, safety, transport regulations, legislation and compliance requirements – Ideal but not essential. A collaborative mindset and experience working in a team-focused culture. Proactive problem-solving abilities and a high motivation to adapt to drive performance improvement through seasonal and peak trading periods Own car and licence as travel across the network is required (Vehicle allowance provided) We’re here to support you.
