Peninsula Diesel Repairs are looking for someone to join our growing spare parts team. We are a family owned & ran business located in Mornington on the Mornington Peninsula. We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team as the workshop does rely heavily on our spare parts team but also someone who is comfortable working independently. Whilst experience with trucks & machinery would be very highly regarded, it is not essential. This position would also suite some-one with a background in the automotive industry.The right candidate must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft packages. There will be training provided in the use of our in house package to ensure you are able to complete your role effectively and proficient.In this role your duties will include but not be limited to:Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels and replenishing parts as needed.Organize and label spare parts for easy identification and retrieval.Support the spare parts Manager in placing orders, obtaining price quotes and negotiating with suppliers.Verify orders for accuracy and completeness upon arrival.Assist in inspecting incoming spare parts to ensure they meet quality and specification. Report and discrepancies or issues to the Spare Parts Manager.Help coordinate the distribution of spare parts to the technicians based on work order.Ensure that technicians have access to the necessary components for each repair job.Maintain organized records of spare parts inventory, purchases and expenditures. Assist in communicating with suppliers, following up on orders and addressing any vendor-related issues. Assist technicians in locating and retrieving parts as needed.
