Hays has partnered with an established Federal Government agency to appoint a Service Desk Analyst to an initial 12-month contract. * Your new role
You'll be responsible for providing the first line of contact for all technical problems across the agency's diverse end-user base. With your exceptional communication skills, and strong ability to tailor technical explanations to non-technical people, your day-to-day life will include:
- Troubleshooting L1/2 support issues across Windows OS, Windows server, and Azure (including AD and Azure AD, the M365 suite, Exchange, Citrix, and more!)
- Refining and building on existing documentation to set yourself and your team up for future success
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and streamline service desk processes for the betterment of all parties
* What you'll need to succeed
This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate with call-centre experience looking to get into the IT space, or a Service Desk Analyst with a year or two of experience and a keen interest in the Federal Government. What we're really keen to see is outstanding customer-facing experience: whether that comes from a dedicated service desk role, or from working in a call centre environment. Our biggest focus is to find someone who puts customer service above all else! Ideally, you'll also have a relevant qualification, and be eligible and willing to obtain an NV Security Clearance.
* What you'll get in return
You'll be remunerated at an hourly rate between $30 - $40/hour + super, depending on skillset and experience, as well as offered a strong chance of extending beyond the initial 12months. As this role is entirely phone-based, the work-from-home flexibility is outstanding with an expectation of only 2 days in the office per week (once you've finalised the initial training)! You'll be continually offered opportunities to jump on and assist with other teams' projects as well, which will drive your learning and development to the next level.
