This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity and strategic direction of our businesses while working closely with Directors and team members at all levels.Role Overview As the Financial Manager/Head Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing and optimising all financial activities across our businesses. From enhancing streamlined accounting practices to preparing financial statements and forecasts, your expertise will guide the company towards long-term financial health and success.Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Strategy: Implement and improve on existing accounting strategies to streamline practices across businesses, ensuring accurate reporting and healthy financial performance.Performance Monitoring: Monitor business activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed.Leadership: Provide direction, support, and management to finance and admin team members, fostering a cohesive and productive team environment.Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial statements, activity reports, and forecasts for Directors.Cash Flow Management: Accurately forecast revenue and cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.Accounts Oversight: Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.Compliance: Oversee external compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory obligations.Operational Excellence: Analyse internal operations, identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement, and ensure seamless business activities.Relationship Management: Foster relationships across all levels of the business, both internally and externally.Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated financial management experience (experience with hospitality or similar industries favourable but not required).Proficiency in financial software such as Xero and MYOB, along with strong MS Excel skills.Strong business acumen and a focus on delivering measurable results.Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.A proactive and solutions-driven approach to challenges.Ability to conduct accurate data analysis and provide actionable insights.If you're focused, driven, and ready to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
