This position requires availability on weekdays between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with each shift being 8 hours.As the Assistant Director, you are expected to assist in overseeing the operations of the service and support the team that provides high quality early childhood education and care to children.
This includes:Developing relationships that support and partner with families.Ensuring the service is compliant with the Education and Care Services National Law and regulations and other relevantlegislation.
Ensuring that policies are implemented.
Ensuring the Quality Improvement Plan is implemented and educators act on the commitment to continuousimprovement.General Responsibilities:Work closely with the Centre Director to manage daily operations including the management of educator performance and practices.Form part of the Leadership Team that work in collaboration to make decisions at the service.Ensure that Educators perform their individual duties to the standard expected by the service.Ensure each child and family are treated with respect by all educators and given the attention that the service expects.Ensure the service philosophy, policies, procedures and standards are upheld by all members of the service.Monitor Educator performance consistently and fairly, with both successes and issues being reported to the Centre Director.Ensure all liaisons with families and the community are conducted with respect and in a consistent manner.Have a sound understanding of the expectations outlined in this document and ensure that their work performance is executed accordingly.Undertake any other duties requested by the Centre Director or Management Committee.
