Are you passionate about conservation and land management and working with landholders to protect biodiversity? The Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Regional Conservation Officer to join our Northern Inland Regional Team.
The Senior Regional Conservation Officer works as part of a friendly and enthusiastic team to provide technical and ecological expertise and support to the delivery of BCTs programs in the Northern Inland region.
About you
As a Senior Regional Conservation Officer, you will:
1. Provide effective landholder support and engagement (including site visits and assessments, offering guidance and advice, developing and administering conservation agreements) to landholders that are seeking to enter, or have entered into conservation agreements on private land.
2. work collaboratively with the Northern Inland Team and other staff across the organisation to ensure best practice methods in the management of a variety of private land conservation agreements
3. bring your ecological knowledge and experience in practical on-ground ecological rapid assessment methodologies to this role, further enhancing your ability to deliver effective landholder support.
4. Utilise exceptional administration and project management skills, crucial for coordinating various tasks, landholders, and timelines effectively. Proficiency in Geographic
