The Vans & Herschel National Sales Manager role is critical to ensuring our brands are managed in the marketplace through the right distribution that enhances the brand positioning, whilst accelerating net sales performance.The VF Brands team is looking for our next National Sales Manager to drive the next period of growth for the world’s most famous skate brand Vans. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding Vans' national sales operations, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, and fostering strong relationships with key accounts and partners. This role requires an individual with a proven sales leadership background, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the retail landscape within the action sports and lifestyle industry.As the National Sales Manager you will excel in understanding local and global market consumer trends to build profitable and consumer-right assortments in partnership with the merchandise team for the ANZ market. Your ability to influence and lead a small sales team whilst also driving key partnerships with internal stakeholders across merchandise & marketing will be critical.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the national sales strategy for Vans, aligning with company objectives and market opportunities.Oversee and implement the sales plan to achieve revenue growth and market share objectives across all key accounts.Manage and support a team of account managers & sales agents, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.Set clear sales goals and performance expectations for the sales team, ensuring they are met or exceeded.Build and maintain strong relationships with major retail partners to maximize sales opportunities.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with national accounts and key partners.Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and consumer behaviour to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.Develop sales forecasts and ensure the timely delivery of products to meet market demand.Collaborate with marketing, product development, and merchandising teams to ensure alignment on product launches and promotional activities.Provide feedback on product performance, customer preferences, and market trends to assist in product development and marketing strategies.Monitor and report on key sales metrics, including revenue, volume, and market share, and present insights to senior leadership.Regularly update senior management on national sales performance and the execution of the sales strategy.Core CompetenciesDemonstrated at least 5+ years in a sales capacity in footwear, apparel or accessories lead consumer product industry.Astute understanding of the Fashion, Sport, Surf and Skate marketplaces.Must be creative, strategic, analytical, innovative and a problem-solver.Skilled in excel, PowerPoint, outlook, and word.Ability to work autonomously but take direction from multiple stakeholders.Confident presenting in front of small to large internal teams.Be available for domestic travel.At Accent Group Limited we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity and inclusion.
